Julietta Paredes, Comunidad Mujeres Creando Comunidad (Bolivia)
Julieta Paredes Carvajal is an indigenous Aymara woman and co-founder of the historical anarcha-feminist collective Mujeres Creando (Women Creating) and the Community of Women Creating Community as well as the Communitarian Feminist Assembly. One of three openly lesbian-feminist radical activists in Bolivia, she lives in La Paz, where a political change is underway. An anti-patriarchal writer, singer, author and poet, Julieta has been involved in feminist training with indigenous and working-class women throughout Bolivia and in other parts of Latin America and has given talks at colleges throughout the Northeast.
